WHAT IS THE SIGN? (2)

Like the sign of the workman/ man with an umbrella sign, we can only see that which our hearts allow us to see. If we desire to "see" the new things that God is unfolding in our day, we need to know the word of God well and have pliable, soft hearts that are open to the Holy Spirit, not hardened hearts like the disciples, who missed seeing the deeper implications of Jesus' signs. May we all desire hearts of flesh, so that we may grow in stature in Christ.

WHAT IS THE SIGN? (1)

We all know the signs: a build up of traffic; a warning sign; temporary traffic lights; and a necessary deviation around the obstruction in the road. We rarely, if ever, give a thought as to what the works actually are; we are more concerned about continuing on our journeys…….

Joy, Praise and Thanksgiving

Let us never underestimate the value of worship. Our chief service and ministry are to worship God. Worship, of course, goes beyond singing songs. It includes all the ways in which we show that we value God above all things.

The Aroma of Christ

Jesus may not have used soap as He went round the table to wash each disciples’ feet in turn. However, once the disciple’s feet had been cleansed, metaphorically the aroma of Christ would have attached to the feet of them all.

God Of The Sea

Imagine that you are planning to go on a cruise. You see two ships being advertised. One ship has been built by someone who has never built a boat before and has no technical qualifications to do so. The crew have no sailing experience; nor have they had any training. The captain is unqualified and inexperienced. The destination is unknown.

A 'Diabolical' Devotional

Whenever I say, "My will be done", not God's will, I am saying I want to be God of my own tiny universe. When I say, "My will be done", I am actually behaving as Lucifer did.

WHAT CAN THE RIGHTEOUS DO?

As we turn on our televisions or read the newspapers, I am sure most of us will be saddened with a feeling of helplessness at the ever-increasing un-Godly ways that are portrayed in society. We read of organisations like Stonewall and Mermaids having ever greater influence, particularly in the lives of the young; calls for easier abortions and introduction of euthanasia; ungodly attitudes in our political leaders’ lives; corruption in the workplace; evil portrayed in the arts and entertainment; and the list goes on and on. Effectively, all so-called pillars of society are being attacked with a godless, satanic agenda. What are these pillars?

The Harvest Is Now

It's important to note that the call to share our faith is not exclusive of other callings on our lives. God may have gifted us in many areas so that we can minister in different ways and in various circumstances, but that doesn’t mean that we are at liberty to neglect the Great Commission to disciple people as we go into the world (Matthew 28:19). For many Christians, the Great Commission has become the Great Omission, as so many believers are omitting to share the gospel…
