Authentic Christianity (Titus 2:7-8, Hebrews 13:8, Proverbs 3:5, Isaiah 26:3, 1 Samuel 12:3-4, John 11:35)

Dan Pegg, 19th February, 2012

Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

Today, many items, e.g. furniture, have a veneer to make them look smarter. Christians must not be like that, says Dan Pegg in tonight's challenging message, but must be transparently real. We should be honest when we don't know all the answers. So, how can we develop authenticity? We need to trust Jesus to be a perfect guide and role model, be transparent as Samuel was when he said, 'Tell me if I've done anything wrong,' knowing that he hadn't, and take risks as Daniel and his companions did in captivity when they refused to compromise their integrity in the face of death threats.
